We are TfL’s property company, and we have big plans for the capital. With 5,500+ acres of land stretching across almost every borough TfL is one of London’s largest landowners...

Building a city for all of us

Properties Homes

We have ambitions to build 20,000 new homes across London. And by homes we mean sustainable, desirable, beautiful homes, many of them affordable – where Londoners can grow their roots.

Whilst upgrading existing workspaces, we’ll be delivering 3,000,000 sq ft of some of the most sustainable, flexible and connected office space in the capital.

We are renovating and extending the building above Covent Garden station to deliver 12,000 sq ft of workspace and greatly improve the sustainability rating.

40 Long Acre, Covent Garden

When complete, over 12,500 sq ft will be available directly above Covent Garden Tube station. We are proposing to extend and refurbish the workspace and install a dedicated terrace. We’ll make it a more sustainable and inclusive building by improving its EPC rating from F to A or B. We will change how the space is heated so that once operational, it’ll be net zero carbon.

Investing in a greener city, a city for future generations to work, to innovate and discover. And generate a long-term, sustainable income that we can re-invest back into London.

Skills and Training

We have introduced skills and education programmes to energise the property industry with new talent and inspire the next generation of city-builders and place-makers, all while creating significant economic benefits for local communities and the capital as a whole.

💡 What makes a neighbourhood feel safe, welcoming and secure, especially at night?

That's what we explored recently during a collaborative safety night walk workshop for women and girls in High Barnet led by Dr Elettra Bordonaro.

We were joined by an engaged group of local students, residents, councillors, and the project team; Field Consulting UK who all focused on the impact of lighting on safety.
