Tube, DLR and London Overground Travelcards
Accompanied Child Day Travelcard
Adults who have a Travelcard, which can be of any zonal combination, can buy child rate Off-Peak Day Travelcards (valid in all zones) at a reduced price of £1 for up to 4 children (aged 5-15 years inclusive), when they travel with them.
Under-11s go free
Children under 11 years can now travel FREE at any time on the Tube, DLR and London Overground:
- All under-5s travel accompanied by someone with a valid ticket or are using Oyster to pay as they go travel free. They do not need a ticket or a photocard.
- Up to four 5-10 year olds travelling with an adult who has a valid ticket, are using Oyster to pay as they go or has a Freedom Pass can travel free. If they have an Oyster photocard they should not use it or they could be charged a fare.
- If they are travelling unaccompanied, 5-10 year olds need a 5-10 Oyster photocard to travel free at any time. If they use a Child or Under-14 Oyster photocard, they will be charged a fare.
