How to apply

In October 2008, eligible individuals under 60 who live in London and those of any age living just outside London were sent an application pack for the Veterans Concessionary Travel Scheme (VCTS) Oyster photocard.

If you are in receipt of an ongoing payment under the War Pensions Scheme or Armed Forces Compensation scheme and did not receive an application pack please see below for information on how to apply.

If you are 60 and over and live in London:

You should apply for an Older Persons Freedom Pass which gives exactly the same travel benefits as the Veterans Concessionary Travel Scheme Oyster photocard.

How to apply for the Veterans Concessionary Travel Scheme (VCTS) Oyster photocard

Expiry

The VCTS concession will be valid until 31 May 2012

If you live in London and will turn 60 before 31 May 2012, please note that the concession will expire one month after your 60th birthday. Once you turn 60, you will be able to get an Older Person's Freedom Pass provided by your local authority, which provides the same travel benefits as the VCTS Oyster photocard.
