Transport for London

Bus & Tram Discount Scheme

The Bus & Tram Discount Scheme is available to help Londoners on Income Support, Employment and Support Allowance and those who have been receiving Jobseeker's Allowance for a minimum of 13 weeks.

You must be aged between 18 and 60 and not be getting any other free or discount travel concession such as a Freedom Pass or New Deal photocard.

If you are eligible, you will be issued with a Bus & Tram Discount photocard. You must then go to an Oyster Ticket Stop or Tube station ticket office and get an Oyster card with the discount concession loaded onto it.

This will then allow you to pay half adult rate Oyster single fares on buses and trams and to buy Bus & Tram Pass season tickets at half the adult rate.

Full adult fares are payable on the Tube, DLR, London Overground and National Rail.

Each photocard is issued for a maximum period of six months.
