Lost, stolen or faulty
Lost or stolen cards
Bus & Tram Discount photocard
If your Bus & Tram Discount photocard is lost or stolen and you applied using a special application form from your Jobcentre Plus office, you will have to return to them and ask for another application form to be issued.
Otherwise, go to a Post Office and re-apply. If you get a new photocard but have your existing Oyster card you will need to get the photocard details changed on the Oyster card.
Oyster card
If your Oyster card is lost or stolen please phone the Oyster helpline (open daily 08:00 to 20:00 on 0845 330 9876*). We will stop your card so it cannot be used and explain what you need to do to get a new one.
Discounted travel is only available with both a valid Bus & Tram Discount photocard and a discounted Oyster card.
Faulty Oyster cards
If your Oyster card has failed you can get a replacement card at a Tube station ticket office and any credit or tickets on the failed card will be transferred to the replacement card.
If you cannot get to a Tube station ticket office, to get a refund for any pay as you go credit or tickets held on the card or for tickets bought in the interim, please send in your failed card and tickets with a covering letter to:
