You can use Oyster on most public transport in London.

Buses and trams

All buses in and just outside London showing this symbol and trams.

Tube, DLR and London Overground

All services in Zones 1 - 9 and to Watford Junction.

Riverboats

Oyster pay as you go: Thames Clippers services only to get reduced single and return fares
Travelcards on Oyster cards: Cheaper fares with all operators

National Rail

All suburban trains stopping in Zones 1-9 and on journeys to:

Chafford Hundred
Grays
Ockendon
Purfleet
Watford Junction
Broxbourne
Brentwood
Shenfield

But not on:

Heathrow Express
Heathrow Connect services between Hayes & Harlington and Heathrow
Southeastern High speed services between St Pancras International and Stratford International
Any journey starting or finishing outside Zones 1-9 or beyond Watford Junction or Grays
