The TfL Cycling Community Awards show the immensely positive impact that cycling can have within communities across London

On 22 May 2008 Transport for London (TfL) hosted London's prestigious Cycling Community Awards at the famous Brewery in the Barbican.

Supported by the Mayor of London, the awards highlighted the dedication and innovation of 999 cycling teams and cycling community groups who work hard to raise the profile of cycling in London.

Cycling improves our communities giving many a healthy, convenient and environmentally friendly way to travel around London. The professional and voluntary work of emergency cycling teams and community groups not only benefits our communities, but also encourages more people to cycle.
