Proposed Tube strike - 6 and 7 September
A 24 hour strike by RMT and TSSA union members is set to affect Tube services from
early evening on Monday 6 September and throughout Tuesday 7 September.
We'll run the best service we can. Check before you travel and please use an alternative
route or method of transport if possible. Visit our strike page for more detailed

Major escalator refurbishment work is taking place. Between 0700 and 1000 on weekdays the Central line ticket hall will operate as exit only. Please follow the signage within the station for an alternative route to the Central line platforms. There is no step free access between the DLR and street level. Please use alternative routes.

GOING TO COVENT GARDEN? Covent Garden station gets very busy at weekends and in the evenings, but you can avoid the crowds by walking there from Leicester Square (6 minutes) or Holborn (9 minutes). The short walk is clearly signposted above ground and maps are on display at both stations.
