LONDON OVERGROUND PLANNED CLOSURES ON GOSPEL OAK - BARKING LINE: To enable the running of more frequent and reliable services across London, on time for the Olympics in 2012, there will be temporary closures on various lines of the Overground network. TfL will run two rail replacement bus services an hour calling at all affected stations in both directions.

The first set of improvements, to enable the running of 4 trains per hour will take place at weekends on the Gospel Oak to Barking line until December 2009 during which time there will be a reduced service each weekend.

Works will take place as follows

Sundays 29 November, 6 December, 27 December, line closed Gospel Oak - Barking.

We urge passengers to always check before they travel, as details of these closures may change. Posters with detailed information will be displayed at all stations and station specific leaflets detailing alternative travel arrangements will be available from your station shortly after.

Please note, there are regular planned weekend engineering works on the Richmond to Stratford line which will continue in 2010. In addition to this, important infrastructure improvements will be carried out by Network Rail on the London Overground network during 2010. To ensure the work takes place safely and as efficiently as possible there will be a planned closure between Gospel Oak and Stratford stations during 2010. Further details and dates will be provided closer to the time. TfL will run a rail replacement bus service during this planned closure.
