Starting 7 February 2010 and for approximately three years the northbound tunnel will be closed from 2100 to 0500 overnight Sunday to Friday with traffic diverted through the southbound tunnel. From 2100 to 0100 route 108 will operate in two sections, Lewisham - North Greenwich and Stratford - Canning Town. Passengers will be able to use the Jubilee line between North Greenwich and Canning Town stations, and London Underground will accept valid bus tickets. From 0100 to 0500 route 108 will be escorted every half hour through the southbound tunnel with northbound traffic halted while this occurs.

From 0830 Monday 8 February to 1800 Sunday 7 March, buses will have severe delays while footway and carriageway work takes place near Dulwich Road. Bus stop A at Herne Hill station will be suspended during the work and replaced by a temporary stop nearby.
