Transport for London

Introduction to resources

These resources are provided in PDF format designed to be downloaded and printed off to be stored in the folder provided by TfL Safety and Citizenship. To request a folder please email tflsafetyandcitizenship@ltmuseum.co.uk with your name and school address. You can select just the files that you need to avoid unnecessary waste of resources.

The resources on this site are designed to support teaching of the Citizenship and PSHE curriculum at Keystage 2.
Planning a journey
Teacher notes and activities designed to encourage children to become familiar with their local transport environment and develop their map skills
Starting a journey
This section includes teacher notes, photo cards, online and written activities to promote essential everyday knowledge such as how to get help, personal safety and how to buy a ticket.
Making a journey better
As children understand the basics of making independent journeys for themselves, it is vital that they also respect the needs of others around them. The resources in this section will allow your class to explore their views about issues such as criminal damage and encourage them to think of practical solutions to making journeys better for everyone.
Useful links
A number of other organisations have sites designed to support learning for single modes of transport. You may find these sites useful to extend the range of transport related work with your class.
