Our work and resources support the PSHCE curriculum. Our School Liaison Officers are trained and resourced to work with groups of between 30 and 300 and our aim is to provide the best format of work for each individual group that we see.

Our sessions raise understanding in five key areas:

• How to get help
• Awareness of potential dangers
• Consequences and costs of criminal damages
• How to deal with unusual situations
• Journey planning and buying tickets

Our formats of work include:

Multimedia presentations in school

• Suitable for audiences across Keystages 1 to 3
• Audience size of 30 - 300
• Duration 40 - 60 minutes
• Requires darkened hall or classroom, mains power and a large white projector screen or board

Junior Citizenship Schemes

• These events are usually organised by police or LEAs in local boroughs and attended by TfL School Liaison Officers.
• Aimed at Year 6 children to prepare them for making responsible, independent choices.
• Audience of 30 - 100 in groups of up to 10 circuit through role play scenarios run by staff from up to 10 different agencies, for example: London Fire Service, TfL buses, London Underground
• Duration one half day
• TfL runs Southwark Junior Citizenship Scheme twice a year. If you are a Y6 teacher at a Southwark school who would like more information about this scheme or to book attendance please contact Sonia using the number or email below

Site tours

• Tours of Underground station or bus depot
• Suitable for audiences across Keystages 1 to 3
• Maximum audience size of 35
• Duration 40 - 60 minutes

Community events

• Drop in activities and role play work at family events across London
• Advice and practical demonstration of the best ways to use transport safely and responsibly.
• Our mock up Underground and Bus displays allow younger children to learn from mistakes in a safe environment
