Part of a series of artists' talks and events by Art on the Underground, to mark the centenary of London Underground's logo, the 'Roundel'. Presented in collaboration with London Transport Museum.
Artist Nils Norman considers alternative urban politics through a mix of art, activism and dark humour. Norman exhibits internationally and collaborates with a range of artists, architects and designers. Commissions include 'Ideal City' and 'Fantasy Piccadilly Line' for Piccadilly Underground station and Piccadilly line trains and street furniture for Tate Modern's exhibition Global Cities, both in 2007.
Recently, Norman devised a media campaign to encourage exploration of Liverpool's parks and a series of poster works for bus shelters in Portsmouth. He is currently working on a school playground project for the new Golden Lane Campus in East London.
