Transport for LondonOnline purchases
- All photocards and tickets are the property of Transport for London (TfL) and are issued in accordance with TfL's Conditions of Carriage (call 020 7222 1234 for hard copy)
- In accordance with the Conditions of carriage TfL has the right to refuse to issue a photocard
- As the travel concession is not a statutory right, any breach of these Terms and conditions and/or TfL's Conditions of carriage, may result, at the discretion of TfL, in the withdrawal of your Oyster photocard and/ or your travel concession
- TfL reserves the right to terminate or revise this scheme at any time
- TfL reserves the right to amend the Terms and conditions of the scheme at any time
- TfL is not be liable for any email undelivered or rejection letter lost or delayed in the post
- No refunds will be made in respect of tickets bought prior to you receiving your photocard except where it is proven that there was a fault or failure on the part of TfL
- Your child's Oyster photocard will only be available at the Travel Information Centre nominated by you, from the expected collection date you specify in your application, for a maximum period of 14 days, after which it will no longer be available for collection
- If you have completed your application and want to change your choice of Travel Information Centre or collection date, you must make another application and pay a fee. The fee for a completed application is non refundable.
- Having been issued with a 16+ Oyster photocard, should you or your parent/guardian subsequently wish to withdraw consent to the Metropolitan Police Service, City of London Police, British Transport Police and any other relevant police service, transferring to Transport for London the information set out in paragraph 2 of the Data Protection statement for the purposes specified, you must contact the Oyster helpline. Arrangements will be made to withdraw the consent and your photocard will be stopped
- On boarding a bus or before boarding a tram, you must validate your Oyster photocard by touiching it on a yellow card reader and obtaining a green light. If using the tram at Wimbledon you must touch in at the gates and again at the yellow card reader on the tram platform
- Your half-rate concession will expire on the date shown on the reverse of your Oyster photocard. Use of the Oyster photocard to obtain half-rate travel after this date may lead to prosecution for fraud
- To enable TfL to keep you informed of changes to the 16+ scheme, please notify us of any change to your details, including change of address
- We can discuss this application with the parent or guardian whose name is on the original 16+ Oyster photocard application ONLY
*For BT residential customers calls to the Oyster helpline will cost no more than 3.5p per minute (current at August 2009). The price of non-BT phone lines may be different.
