Tour of Britain competition

Terms and conditions

  1. The competition is open to residents of Greater London excluding employees of Transport for London (TfL) and their families and anyone professionally connected with the running of this competition.
  2. Entrants must be aged 18 years or over.
  3. Closing date for entries is 17:00 Thursday 27 August 2009.
  4. There is one prize which consists of 4 VIP tickets to watch stage eight (the final day) of the Tour of Britain on Saturday 19 September 2009 from a unique location alongside the finish line on Whitehall. The winner must be available to attend the Tour of Britain event on Saturday 19 September 2009 and may not sell, transfer, exchange or receive a refund of the tickets. Any travel and/or accommodation costs associated with attending the event must be borne by the winner. The promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equivalent or higher value. No other prize or cash alternative is available.
  5. One winner will be drawn at random from the correct entries and will be notified by phone or email with confirmation via the post. If TfL is unable to trace the winner using all reasonable efforts, TfL is entitled to conduct another draw and award the prize to the winning entrant of that draw without any liability to the original winner or to any other entrant.
  6. Only one entry per person.
  7. The name of the winner may be published by TfL. Notwithstanding that the winner has been declared, TfL reserves the right to determine that the winner is disqualified if TfL discovers that s/he was not eligible to enter the competition, is in breach of these terms and conditions or if the entry should otherwise be declared invalid.
  8. The winner's name and Greater London borough where s/he lives may be obtained by writing to TfL within 28 days of the prize draw.
  9. Entry into the competition indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  10. The promoter is TfL, Windsor House, 50 Victoria Street, London SW1H 0TL. The promoter's decision is final and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
  11. The competition and these terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed according to English law.
