Roadworks and street faults
In future, roadwork sites should display details such as:
- Who is doing the work
- How long it will last
Information at the sites should also provide updates on progress, with any reasons for delay or inactivity, eg concrete setting or awaiting a part.
Roadworks on LondonWorks

LondonWorks is a system that provides information on roadworks taking place across the Capital.
Use LondonWorks to find details of:
- Current and planned roadworks
- How long the roadworks will last
- The owner of the roadworks (eg Thames Water)
The system also provides contact details so you can ask questions or report problems such as a lack of information boards.
LondonWorks is run by TfL in conjunction with boroughs and utility companies.
Street fault reporting
You can report anything from potholes and faulty traffic lights to abandoned vehicles and damaged or missing signs.
To check the status of a fault you have previously logged please call 0845 305 1234.
If the fault is serious and urgent, call the 24-hour Street Faults Contact Centre on 0845 305 1234 (minicom: 0845 600 1723).
Red routes
TfL Street Management manages red routes in London, and the London boroughs look after the other streets in their area. When you report a fault we will decide whose responsibility it is and tell whoever manages the road within 12 hours.
If you report a fault on a red route that is our responsibility, we will prioritise the work to remedy it depending on how urgent it is. If the fault is on another road, we will notify the organisation responsible.
