Transport for London

Fines (PCNs)

Bus, cab and bike Free-flowing traffic is essential to keeping London moving. But it can take just one inconsiderate driver ignoring road signs or driving in a bus lane during operational hours to cause congestion that may have safety implications for other road users.

By ensuring motorists follow signs, these delays and jams can be minimised, benefiting everyone who drives in London.

Pay penalty charge online

All bus lane and road traffic penalty charge notices can now be paid online.

Road signs and regulations

Enforcing London's road signs and yellow box junctions has historically been the responsibility of the police. In June 2004, TfL took responsibility for all of London's major roads and red routes. London boroughs are responsible for their own roads.

Bus lane regulations

Every day over 6 million journeys are made on London's buses, which are an essential part of the Capital's transport system. Without buses, conditions on London's already congested roads would be even worse.
