Included on this calendar are details of major public events and works in London. They involve road closures and could therefore disrupt traffic. In most cases TfL is not responsible for the events or works, and details are subject to change.

    A206 Beresford Street by junction of Macbean Street

    Roadworks: Lane closure in the eastbound direction to facilitate kerb realignment and build out as part of the Macbean Street junction upgrade.

    Westminster Area

    Tamil March Route: A large group will form up on North Carriage Drive and march to Waterloo Place via Park Lane, Hyde Park Corner, Piccadilly and Regent Street to finish with a rally in Waterloo Place. Park Lane, Piccadilly eastbound, Regent Street and Waterloo Place will be closed to facilitate the demonstration.

    Wembley Stadium

    Sporting Event: Wembley Stadium will be hosting the League 2 Playoff final. Kick-off is at 13:30. Large pedestrian numbers are expected in the Wembley area. Traffic levels are expected to increase in the area in the lead up to the game and after the game has concluded. Roads likely to be affected are the A406, Harrow Road, Wembley High Road and roads around the stadium.

    Westminster Area

    NHS March Route: A large group will form up on Concert Hall Approach and march to Richmond Terrace via Waterloo Bridge, Lancaster Place, Strand and Whitehall. Whitehall southbound, Strand westbound and Concert Hall Approach will be closed to facilitate the demonstration.

    Wembley Stadium

    Sporting Event: Wembley Stadium will be hosting the League 1 Playoff final. Kick-off is at 13:30. Large pedestrian numbers are expected in the Wembley area.     Chelsea Embankment

    Chelsea Flower Show: The annual RHS Chelsea Flower Show will take place between 08:00 and 20:00 daily. Traffic and pedestrian levels are likely to increase in the area on each day.

    Wreath Laying at Cenotaph: Both Directions - Road closure to facilitate Wreath Laying Ceremony (United Nations Association).

    Wembley Stadium

    Sporting Event: Wembley Stadium will be hosting the UEFA Champions League Final, kick-off is at 1945hrs. Large pedestrian numbers are expected in the Wembley area. Traffic levels are expected to increase in the area in the lead up to the game and after the game has concluded. Roads likely to be affected are the A406, Harrow Road, Wembley High Road and roads around the stadium.

  9. 25/05/2013 to 25/05/2013, 11:00 to 19:00 

    Twickenham Rugby Stadium

    Sporting Event: Twickenham Stadium will be hosting the Aviva Premiership Final rugby match, kickoff is at is 1500hrs. Large pedestrian numbers are expected in the Twickenham area. Traffic levels are expected to increase in the area in the lead up to the game and after the game has concluded. Roads likely to be affected are the A316 Chertsey Road and all roads leading to Twickenham Station and around the stadium.

    Bupa 10k Race: Full Road Closures between Westminster St James's Park, Victoria Embankment, Puddle Dock, Queen Victoria St, Godliman St, St Pauls Churchyard, Cannon Street, Queen Victoria St, Cornhill, Leadenhall St, Leadenhall Market, Fenchurch St, Mincing Lane, Great Tower St, Eastcheap, Cannon St, Queen Victoria St, White Lion Hill, Victoria Embankment, Westminster.

    Whitehall

    Trooping The Colours (Major General Review): Constitution Hill, Spur Road, The Mall, Admiralty Arch, Marlborough Road, Birdcage Walk and Great George Street will be closed for The Major General's Review of Trooping the Colour on Horse Guards Parade.

  12. 02/06/2013, 1200 to 1500 

    Central And South East London

    Help For Heroes Ride 2013: There will be a charity bike ride from Greenwich Park to Horseguards Parade Ground via Romney Road, Creek Road, Evelyn Street, Lower Road, Jamaica Road, Tower Bridge, Lower Thames Street, Victoria Embankment, Horseguards Avenue, Whitehall, Parliament Square, Birdcage Walk and The Mall. There will be no road closures until the group arrive at Horseguards at 1230pm. At approximately 1400pm Whitehall southbound will be closed for 25 minutes whilst a service is held. The group will then move off around Parliament Square with temporary holds to enter Birdcage Walk.

    Trooping The Colour (Colonels Review): Constitutional Hill, The Mall, Marlborough Road, Horse Guards Road, Birdcage Walk, Spur Road and Queens Gardens will be closed.

    Central London

    World Naked Bike Ride: An annual environmental cycle ride will take place in a circular route around Central London with no planned road closures.

  15. 08/06/2013 to 09/06/2013

    London Area

    Nightrider Cycling Event:  A group of cyclists will set off from two separate locations in north & south London and will follow a route through the city. There are no planned road closures for this event.

  16. 08/06/2013, 16:00 to 22:00 

    Charterhouse Street at the Junction with Farringdon Road

    Smithfield Nocturines: Full Road Closures around Smithfield Market (Charterhouse Street, Lindsey Street, Long Lane and Poultry Avenue). Series of 1km races around a closed route.

  17. 09/06/2013, 11:00 to 16:00 

    Westminster Area

    Rathayatra Festival 2013:  A group of people will form up in South Carriage Drive at 11:00 hours for a procession moving off at 12:00 hours down Park Lane (Northbound), Achilles Way, Park Lane Southbound, Hyde Park Corner, Piccadilly, Piccadilly Circus, Coventry Street, Haymarket and Pall Mall East finishing at Trafalgar Square.

    Trooping The Colour (The Queens Birthday Parade): Constitutional Hill, The Mall, Marlborough Road, Horse Guards Road, Birdcage Walk, Spur Road, and Queens Gardens will be closed.

    Twickenham Stadium

    Concert: Twickenham Stadium will be hosting the Rihanna Concert over two nights. Large pedestrian numbers are expected in the Twickenham area. Traffic levels are expected to increase in the area in the lead up to the concert and after the concert has concluded. Roads likely to be affected are the A316 Chertsey Road and all roads leading to Twickenham Station and around the stadium.

    Trafalgar Square

    West End Live: Pall Mall East will be closed along with a lane closure on the east side of Trafalgar Square to facilitate this event.

    Westminster Area

    Crohn's and Colitis UK walks 2013: There will be a group of walkers of mixed ages, who will set off at 12 noon from Victoria Embankment Gardens. The walk will be on pavements / walkways. There will be no road closures.

    Wimbledon Area

    Wimbledon Tennis Championship 2013: The All England Lawn Tennis Tournament will affect areas of Southfields, Wimbledon Village, Wimbledon town centre and areas around the Wimbledon Tennis Complex on Church Road and Wimbledon Park Road. Delays can be expected in these areas for the duration of the tournament.

    City Of London

    Children's Parade: A group of children with adults will be travelling a route from Guildhall Yard, Gresham street, Warwick Lane, Paternoster Square and concluding with a concert on St. Paul's Cathedral west steps. Rolling road closures will be supported by City of London Police.

    Westminster Area

    Pride 2013: This year's event will include a parade and event on Trafalgar Square. The parade will make its way from Baker Street to Whitehall Place via Oxford Street, Regent Street, Haymarket, Cockspur Street, Whitehall and Whitehall Place to Northumberland Avenue where they will disperse. This will be facilitated by full road closures, including Piccadilly eastbound at Hyde Park Corner, Oxford Street from marble Arch to Oxford Circus, Regent Street and Whitehall. To facilitate the event on Trafalgar Square, Pall Mall East will be closed and all traffic will be diverted through the Cockspur Street bus lane from 0700hrs.

    A232 Addiscombe Road

    Trinity School Triathlon: Addiscombe Road from Sandilands Roads to Shirley Road will be closed to facilitate the event.

    Westminster Area

    Parade: There will be temporary traffic holds on Piccadilly, Haymarket and Pall Mall East to allow supporters to march to Trafalgar Square. The march will be facilitated by the Metropolitan Police as a bubble.

    City Of London

    Great City Race: A sporting event will take place in the City of London area. The event area will be bordered by road closures from City Road in the north, Bishops Gate in the east, Cannon Street in the south and Farringdon Street in the west. All closures will be removed once the race route has been cleaned.

    Clapham Common

    Brighton Night Bike Ride 2013: The event organised by British Heart Foundation, will be starting at Clapham Common.

    Central London

    British 10k London Run: The runners will travel a route from Piccadilly at the junction with Hyde Park Corner, St James Street, Northumberland Avenue, Victoria Embankment, Upper Thames Street, White Lion Hill, Queen Victoria Street, Victoria Embankment, Westminster Bridge, Parliament Square, Victoria Street to finish in Whitehall.

    City Of London

    Cart Marking Ceremony: Gresham Street will be closed Eastbound to facilitate vehicle movements. Wood Street will be closed Southbound between Gresham Street and Goldsmith Street. Vehicles will be parked on London Wall and then travel into St Mary Le Grand, Gresham Street and Guildhall Yard.

    East London / Rotherhithe Tunnel

    The Tunnel to Towers Event: The event will travel a route via Rotherhithe Tunnel, Horseferry Road, Narrow Street, Three Colt Street, Milligan Street, Limehouse Causeway, Westferry Road, Ontario Way, North Collonade, Upper Bank Street, Aspen Way (Footway) to Billingsgate Market.

  32. 27/07/2013 to 28/07/2013, 05:00 to 18:00 

    Excel / Westminster Area

    London Triathlon 2013: The event on Day 1 will be contained to the Excel Area with local road closures. On day 2 of the event, road closures begin from 5am to facilitate the race route from the Excel Centre to Central London and back to the Excel Centre along the following route; Seagull Lane, Lower Lea Crossing, Aspen Way, Limehouse Link, The Highway, Upper and Lower Thames Street, Victoria Embankment to Westminster Bridge.  All roads west of Tower Bridge will be opened by 12:30pm.  All roads east of Tower Bridge are scheduled to reopen at 18:30.

    Twickenham Stadium

    Watchtower  2013: Twickenham Stadium will be hosting this annual event. There will be an increase in pedestrian numbers around the stadium. Traffic levels are expected to increase, with potential delays to traffic on A316 Chertsey Road and around Twickenham Station.

  36. 03/08/2013

    London Area

    Free Cycle: As part of the weekend of cycling, there will be a mass participation 'Free Cycle' event in Central London. Full road closures will be implemented to facilitate the event, including The Mall, Birdcage Walk, Parliament Square, Trafalgar Square, Victoria Embankment, Queen Victoria Street, Cheapside, Poultry Lane and Upper and Lower Thames Street to Tower Hill. Southwark Bridge will also be closed.

    London Area

    Ridelondon Cycle Event: The second day of the weekend of cycling, will require extensive road closures for the route from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, through Central London into Surrey and back to the Mall for the finish. The closures for the route will include both carriageways of the A12, Limehouse Link Tunnel, The Highway, Upper and Lower Thames Street, Victoria Embankment, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly, Knightsbridge, A4 Cromwell Road, Talgarth Road, Great West Road to Hogarth roundabout, then south via A316 Chertsey Road, Clifford Avenue, Upper Richmond Road into Richmond Park, through the Park to Kingston, Kingston Bridge, to Hampton Court then out into Surrey, before returning via A307 Portsmouth Road, Kingston, Coombe Lane, Worple Road, Wimbledon Hill, to Tibbetts Corner, Putney Hill, Putney Bridge, New Kings Road, Chelsea Embankment, Grosvenor Road, Millbank, Parliament Square, Whitehall, Trafalgar Square to finish on the Mall.

    England V Scotland: Wembley Stadium will be hosting the International between England and Scotland. Large pedestrian numbers are expected in the Wembley area. Traffic levels are expected to increase in the area in the lead up to the game and after the game has concluded.     RFL Challenge Cup Final: Wembley Stadium will be hosting the RFL Tetley Challenge Cup Final. Large pedestrian numbers are expected in the Wembley area. Traffic levels are expected to increase in the area in the lead up to the game and after the game has concluded. Roads likely to be affected are the A406, Harrow Road, Wembley High Road and roads around the stadium.

    Notting Hill Area

    Notting Hill Carnival 2013: Extensive road closures will be implemented to create a car free environment for the carnival to take place. Closure times from Sunday 25th - Tuesday 27th 0700 - 0300 each day. Road closures will be from Harrow Road in the north, Notting Hill Gate in the south, Clarendon Road in the west and Queensway in the east. Please be aware, traffic is likely to be slow moving in the area, including A5 Edgware Road, Harrow Road, Holland Park Avenue, Notting Hill Gate and Bayswater Road.

    Westminster Area

    March: A group of people will form up in Duchess Street to march to Grosvenor Square via Langham Place, Regent Street, Maddox Street, Grosvenor Street and Grosvenor Square where they will hold a rally before dispersing. The Metropolitan Police will manage this march as a Bubble with temporary traffic holds while the march passes.

    Wembley Stadium

    Stoke Newington High Street

    Stoke Newington Triathlon: The race will be based at West Reservoir. The proposed cycle route includes a 0.25 mile section of Stoke Newington High Street into Stamford Hill. The event takes place on a Sunday morning with cyclists on the route between 7.30 and 9.30am.

    Byward Street (City Of London)

    Merchant Navy Association Service: A group will form up in Mark Lane where the Metropolitan Police will facilitate a bubbled procession along Great Tower Street, Byward Street, Trinity Square and onto Trinity Square Gardens where a service of remembrance will be held. A larger than usual number of pedestrians are anticipated. Expect slow moving traffic behind the procession.

    City Of London

    Firefighters Memorial: At 1145hrs there will be a Church Service at St Bartholomew's Church. After the service at 1300hrs, a Parade will proceed to Firefighters Memorial with Traffic Holds via Giltspur St, Newgate St, Warwick Lane, Ave Maria Lane, St Paul's Churchyard, Godliman St and Carter Lane. The wreath Laying Ceremony will close all approaches to Firefighters Memorial, Carter Lane, Carter Lane Gardens and Peters Hill.

    Itu Triathlon World Series Grand Final: The Saturday event will require a closure of Hyde Park Corner and Park Lane from 0600 to 1130. The Sunday event will require the closure of Hyde Park Corner and Park Lane from 0500 to1600 as well as the closure of Victoria Embankment from Westminster Bridge to Tower Hill from 0500 to1300 to facilitate the event.

    Royal Parks Half Marathon: The annual charity run will start in Hyde Park and will follow the route: Hyde Park Corner, St James's Park, Parliament Square and Victoria Embankment. There will be closure of approaches onto Victoria Embankment.

    Harrods Christmas Parade: The annual parade will form up at 0800hrs and move off at 0815hrs to follow the route of Trevor Square, Knightsbridge, Bowater House, Brompton Road, Hans Road, Basil Street, Sloane Street, and finish at Knightsbridge by 0915hrs.

    UK Power Networks: Various lane restrictions in phases to facilitate electricity works.

    Roadworks: Road closure to facilitate rebuild of damaged chamber, with a diversion via Queen Street, Cheapside, Poultry and Mansion House Street. Queen Street will also be closed to southbound vehicular traffic with a diversion via Gresham Street, Lothbury, Princes Street and Mansion House Street.

    Merchant Navy Association Service: A group will form up in Mark Lane where the Metropolitan Police will facilitate a bubbled procession along Great Tower Street, Byward Street, Trinity Square and onto Trinity Square Gardens where a service of remembrance will be held. A larger than usual number of pedestrians are anticipated. Expect slow moving traffic behind the procession.

    Firefighters Memorial: At 1145hrs there will be a Church Service at St Bartholomew's Church. After the service at 1300hrs, a Parade will proceed to Firefighters Memorial with Traffic Holds via Giltspur St, Newgate St, Warwick Lane, Ave Maria Lane, St Paul's Churchyard, Godliman St and Carter Lane. The wreath Laying Ceremony will close all approaches to Firefighters Memorial, Carter Lane, Carter Lane Gardens and Peters Hill.

    Itu Triathlon World Series Grand Final: The Saturday event will require a closure of Hyde Park Corner and Park Lane from 0600 to 1130. The Sunday event will require the closure of Hyde Park Corner and Park Lane from 0500 to1600 as well as the closure of Victoria Embankment from Westminster Bridge to Tower Hill from 0500 to1300 to facilitate the event.

    Roger Waters / The Wall: Wembley Stadium will be hosting the event. Increased pedestrian numbers are expected in the Wembley area. Traffic levels are expected to increase in the area in the lead up to the event and after the event has concluded. Roads likely to be affected are the A406, Harrow Road, Wembley High Road and roads around the stadium.
