Barclays Cycle Hire / How it works

Whenever you take part in the scheme, as long as you abide by our terms and conditions, you will automatically be covered by our third party liability insurance.

What's covered

You are covered for the following amount if you accidentally cause damage to someone or something else while using the cycle through RSA, the insurer:

 £2,000,000 liability cover for each incident

Excess: You will be responsible for paying a £250 excess for each claim.

What's not covered

Personal accident insurance is not included. You may wish to take out your own insurance for this.

Claims

If you wish to make a claim after an incident with a Barclays Cycle Hire user, please contact Butterworth Spengler Commercial Limited.

For any other claims please call the Contact Centre on 0845 026 3630.

If you are a Barclays Cycle Hire user involved in an incident where damage is caused to a third party, please ensure you've reported the incident to the police and have a crime reference number before calling the Contact Centre.
