We have been working in partnership with nine London boroughs and The Royal Parks to bring you Barclays Cycle Hire.

We're working with:

Camden, City of London, City of Westminster, Hackney, Islington, Lambeth, Kensington and Chelsea, Southwark, Tower Hamlets and The Royal Parks.

Planning

Before we go live with the scheme we will be getting planning approval for every site.

Conservation and the environment

Conservation, the environment and London's rich history are central to our planning. We're working with the boroughs to protect green space and any sensitive locations.

Traffic regulation orders

Anyone using a Barclays Cycle Hire bicycle, needs easy access to the docking stations. Therefore it's important that other road users are prevented from blocking the docking station, for example by unloading in front of one.
 
To do this we will be applying for a Traffic Regulation Order for each site.
