The Route Masters - Running London's Roads
Eight out of 10 journeys by Londoners are by road, and these millions of daily journeys are all overseen by the world's biggest traffic control system. The BBC's cameras spent a year following TfL workers from nightbus drivers to control operators and roadmenders to make six one-hour programmes.
The sixth and final episode is showing on Tuesday 30 July. Episode 5 looked at the future of London's roads. It's available on the BBC's iPlayer catch-up service.
Previous episodes focused on topics including congestion around the Blackwall Tunnel and the Battersea helicopter crash, how night buses support London's after-hours economy, and London's bus drivers.
The Route Masters - Running London's Roads, BBC Two, 21:00, weekly Tuesdays, repeats Wednesdays around 23:20
