DISTRICT LINE: On Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 August, suspended between Upney and Upminster due to planned engineering works. Replacement buses operate.

METROPOLITAN and PICCADILLY LINES: Between 2100 and 2140 on Monday to Thursday evenings until early September, the Metropolitan line service is suspended between Hillingdon and Uxbridge and the Piccadilly line is suspended between Ruislip and Uxbridge. Customers are advised to use Bus Route U2, which has been enhanced, between Hillingdon and Uxbridge.

MONUMENT AND BANK STATIONS: Until summer 2009, there is very limited interchange at Bank and Monument stations. This is due to major escalator replacement works. You are strongly advised to use alternative interchange stations. If you travel to the Bank and Monument areas you may find it easier to use nearby alternative stations such as Cannon Street, London Bridge, Mansion House and Moorgate. Local bus services 21 43 133 and 141 operate between London Bridge and Moorgate stations calling at Bank and Monument. Please note: Interchange at the station may involve walking routes at street level. In order to prevent overcrowding Central and/or Northern line trains may not stop at Bank, especially during morning and evening peaks.

NORTHERN LINE: On Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 August, suspended between Burnt Oak and Edgware due to station refurbishment works. Connecting buses operate between Burnt Oak and Edgware.

WATERLOO AND CITY LINE: Planned Closure - train service resumes at 06.15 on Mondays to Fridays, 0800 on Saturdays. There will be no service on Bank Holiday Monday 25 August.


Station closures

Holloway Road

ARSENAL VS NEWCASTLE UNITED, On Saturday 30 August, HOLLOWAY ROAD STATION is exit only from approximately 1600. All WESTBOUND trains (towards Central London) will stop and customers will be able to exit the station unless overcrowding occurs. From approximately 1700, no EASTBOUND trains (from Central London) will stop at the station. At around 1730 the station will fully reopen for entry and exit. From 1900 until crowds have sufficiently dispersed, the station will be exit only, but all westbound and eastbound trains will stop.

Covent Garden

COVENT GARDEN STATION: From Sunday 13 July until further notice. The station is closed until 0800 Sundays to Thursdays and from 2330 Sundays to Wednesday. Please use Leicester Square, Holborn or Charing Cross which are in walking distance.

Shepherd's Bush (Central Line)

SHEPHERDS BUSH CENTRAL LINE STATION: Closed until mid-October for refurbishment work. A rail replacement bus service operates between Shepherds Bush Central line station, from the taxi rank outside the station, and White City station bus stop "B". Journey times may be increased by up to 20 minutes. Oyster card pay as you go holders should use the free replacement bus service or the 148 bus to Holland Park and Notting Hill Gate.

BANK / MONUMENT: Reduced escalator service until further notice.

Blackfriars

BLACKFRIARS UNDERGROUND STATION: From Monday 2 March 2009 until late 2011, Network Rail is carrying out major improvements to the Underground station as part of the Thameslink Upgrade programme. District and Circle line trains will not stop at the station during this time. Please bear this in mind if purchasing a season ticket or registering your Oystercards.

Borough Station

BOROUGH STATION: Reduced lift service until late December. Exit only Monday to Friday between 0800 and 1000 and between 1700 and 1900. No ticket issuing facilities.

Camden Town

CAMDEN TOWN STATION: On Saturdays, no down escalator between 1000 and 1700. On Sundays, no down escalator between 1000 and 1730.

Canada Water

CANADA WATER STATION: Until March 2010, one of the three exits will be closed to enable construction of a new library. Please use the other exits.

CANADA WATER STATION: Reduced escalator service until mid November.

Canning Town

CANNING TOWN STATION: Reduced escalator service until early October.

Canons Park

CANONS PARK STATION: On Saturday 30 August, after 2100 only, and all day Sunday 31 August, the station is closed for refurbishment works. Please use local London Buses services.

Covent Garden

COVENT GARDEN STATION: Until May 2009, major station refurbishment works will be taking place. The station will remain fully open until Saturday 12 July, but between Sunday 13 July and Thursday 27 November, and again from Monday 19 January until May 2009, the station will open at 0800 on Sundays to Thursdays, and will close at 2330 on Sundays to Wednesdays. At these times, customers are advised to use Leicester Square, Holborn or Charing Cross stations instead.

Green Park

GREEN PARK STATION: Until Friday 12 December, before 0600 Mondays to Saturdays, and 0730 Sundays, the Piccadilly line platforms will be closed due to escalator replacement works.

Heathrow Terminals 1-2-3

HEATHROW TERMINALS 123 STATION: A reduced escalator service until late June 2009.

Knightsbridge

KNIGHTSBRIDGE STATION: Reduced escalator service until the end of September.

London Bridge

LONDON BRIDGE STATION: Reduced escalator service until further notice.

Moorgate

MOORGATE STATION: Reduced escalator service until late January 2009.

Piccadilly Circus

PICCADILLY CIRCUS STATION: Reduced escalator service until further notice.

Russell Square

RUSSELL SQUARE STATION: On Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 August, the station is closed due to refurbishment works. Please use Holborn or Kings Cross St.Pancras stations.
