Access to your data
The Trustee need to hold and process data to calculate and pay benefits, and to administer the Fund as a whole. This may include information about your health (which is classed as 'sensitive data') and marital status. It is a condition of membership that you agree to the use of your personal information this way, as the Fund cannot operate without it.
This may involve passing on data about you to the Fund's professional advisers, administrator and other third parties. Data will not be passed to anyone else without your express authority.
The Data Protection Act 1998 gives you the right to receive a copy of the personal data held by the fund at reasonable intervals and at no cost to yourself. Application forms to request this may be obtained from the Fund Office.
Protecting your information
We use up to date industry procedures to protect your personal information. We also protect the security of your data during transmission using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption software.
We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you via our websites.

TfL and the Trustee of the Fund are not, and will not be, responsible for any damages you or others may suffer as a result of the loss of confidentiality of any such information.
