Legible London to hand
01 February 2012

TfL and partners are using paper Legible London maps to promote walking as a healthy way to make short trips.
In September, paper maps were given out during the morning peak at Waterloo Station. The maps highlighted areas of London that could easily be walked to, and promoted walking as healthy, reliable and quick.
Paper maps can be produced to promote specific events or promotions, and can include walk times, health messages and calories burned through walking. The maps can also be produced in conjunction with partners and stakeholders.
Following the Waterloo project, paper maps are being considered for other mainline London rail stations.
