Animals on transport
You can bring an assistance dog with you without charge. We welcome all assistance dogs, including:
- Fetch and carry dogs
- Mental health companion dogs
- Seizure-alert dogs
There is no limit on the number of assistance dogs allowed on the bus, as long as there is space. Your dog must not block the gangway.
On the Tube
If you have an assistance dog, you can use the wider automatic gates to enter and leave the station. If there is no wider gate, you should ask a member of staff to open the manual gate. Only assistance dogs which have been specifically trained and are carrying the appropriate identification may use moving escalators. If your dog has not been trained and there is no staircase or lift, a member of our staff will stop the escalator to allow your animal to travel on it when it is safe to do so (generally when the station is not busy).
On the Emirates Air Line
- Bring an assistance dog with you free
- Bring other dogs and animals if kept on a lead or in a container
With the exception of guide dogs or assistance dogs, animals must be carried at all times. You cannot allow animals on seats and some animals may not be permitted. Please check with a member of our staff before you purchase your Boarding Pass.
We can't take charge of animals and will refuse any that seem dangerous.
Pet dogs and other animals
You can also travel with any other dog or domestic animal, unless there is a good reason for us to refuse it (such as if the animal seems dangerous or is likely to upset other customers).
You must keep it under control on a lead or in a suitable container, and must not allow it on a seat. Staff can't take charge of any animal.
You must carry animals on moving escalators or through automatic ticket gates.
