New escalators in the Northern ticket hall The new escalators to the Northern ticket hall Work is scheduled for completion in 2010, when King's Cross St. Pancras will become the largest and busiest station on the London Underground network, serving over 100 million passengers every year.

The new Northern ticket hall will open to the public on 29 November 2009, delivering:

Additional work at the station

We are also working to update the existing station at King's Cross St. Pancras. This will modernise the Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria line platforms, concourses and escalators.

We will be improving the appearance of these areas and providing other facilities including more Help points and platform humps (for step-free acces onto trains.) Existing escalators will also be replaced.

Work will continue into 2010 and will involve some track closures. Keep up to date with live travel news.
