Consultation
Consultation results
We received a great response to the consultation with over 5,000 organisations and individuals giving their views. The majority of responses were positive about the principle of the project which reflects the support from all the borough councils involved.
The majority of responses were positive about the principle of Cross River Tram
We will consider the consultation results alongside various technical considerations and input from the borough councils.
For some of the sections people have given a clear preference which is very helpful. However, in others the results are inconclusive or raised local concerns so we will need to do more work before we announce the single preferred route.

What we asked
Cross River Tram covers four central London boroughs, and was divided into five sections to make it easier for people to comment during the consultation.
On four of the five sections respondents were asked which of two routes they preferred and why. For the central section, where there is only one suitable route, respondents were asked to comment generally on the route and project.
Consultation events
Events were held at South Bank, Elephant and Castle Shopping Centre, Brixton Town Centre, Peckham Square, Camden High Street and King's Cross.
In addition to the formal consultation, a number of additional meetings were requested and these were held in Somers Town (Camden), Aylesbury Estate (Southwark) and Brixton Town Centre (Lambeth). You can contact us for reports of these meetings.
