Transport for LondonRoute G1
We carefully considered all responses and have now made a decision.
We have decided to go ahead with the changes as originally planned:
- To alter the route to go straight up and down Northcote Road instead of serving Bolingbroke Grove, Wakehurst Road and Belleville Road. This also means a small part of Broomwood Road will no longer be served
- To simplify the service at St George's Hospital to run through the grounds and along Blackshaw Road and Tooting High Street instead of Garratt Lane. The main hospital entrance would continue to be served in both directions
- To improve the Sunday service by running buses every 30 minutes, instead of hourly
The G1 will be run by a different bus operator, London General, instead of Travel London from the start of the new contract in May 2010. We plan to start the changes at the same time.
London General will be using buses of the same type that currently operate.
