Transport for London

Route 393

During March, April and May 2009 Transport for London consulted stakeholders and local residents about the extension of route 393 to Chalk Farm which was introduced in July 2007.

A number of people continued to be dissatisfied with the current routeing and suggested an alternative route for the buses to take.  The consultation was conducted so that we could understand the needs and views of users and people living on and near to the extended route.

In general there was substantial support for the route to remain as it is now. There was also a majority of support from those responding who live on roads that had not previously had a bus service.

Therefore, having fully considered the relevant issues we have decided to retain route 393 on its current routeing.
