Transport for London

Amersham and Chesham

Chesham station We are considering changes to off-peak services for Amersham and Chesham.

The proposal is the result of a recent review of Metropolitan line services for Amersham and Chesham, which is part of LU's ongoing review of services.

Peak-time services (07:00-08:00 and 18:00-19:00) would not be affected.

Chesham

There would be two direct trains per hour between Chesham and central London throughout the day. Like today's peak service, customers would no longer need to change at Chalfont & Latimer.

Amersham

There would be two Metropolitan line trains per hour between Amersham and central London, instead of the present four.

The earliest possible date these changes could come into effect is May 2009

This reduction is necessary to implement the new services to Chesham.

The two trains per hour service provided by Chiltern trains (one train per hour on Sundays) would be unaffected.

This means the total number of trains from Amersham to central London during off-peak periods would fall from six to four trains and from five trains per hour to three on Sundays.

The earliest possible date these changes could come into effect is May 2009.
