Orbital railway
When the East London line links up with the North London line at Highbury and Islington in 2011, the beginning of an orbital railway around the Capital will be created.
We really want to complete the orbital route by extending the East London line from Surrey Quays to Clapham Junction. Unfortunately we don't have funding for this at the moment but watch this space.
With four new, air-conditioned trains per hour, you would find it takes less time to get to Canary Wharf and Broadgate. The extension would also tackle deprivation, improve social inclusion and contribute to lower CO2 emissions.
