Brand new trains will take you on your way
By June 2010, the line will run from Dalston Junction in the north to New Cross, Crystal Palace and West Croydon in the south. By February 2011 we will have extended it to Highbury & Islington.

We are also planning to extend the line west from Surrey Quays to Clapham Junction.
The line will form part of the wider London Overground orbital network, which will allow you to travel around London by train without having to enter central London.
New, fast, frequent trains
You will enjoy fast, frequent services in air-conditioned, accessible trains with audio and visual announcements.
You will be able to use 
Oyster card and Freedom Passes, and under-11s accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket can travel free.
By February 2011, 16 trains will run every hour in each direction through the centre section, with four trains an hour between Highbury & Islington and New Cross. The trains will serve a total of 30 stations.

Alternative routes
The entire line is closed while we work to extend it, but there is a special replacement bus services to get to Tube, DLR and National Rail services within Zone 2.
Please bear this in mind if purchasing an annual season ticket. Find out about alternative travel arrangements.
You may wish to consider walking and cycling options during the period of closure.
