Busking
We recruit, audition and manage buskers to ensure a high level of talent and variety, and also vet candidates for police convictions.
The scheme is currently closed, but when places become available we will publish a pdf application form on this page.
Sponsorship
Tube buskers have attracted international media interest
We are looking for a commercial sponsor to support the licensed busking scheme from July 2008. Sponsorship has been an enormous success, offering sponsors fantastic media coverage both here and internationally.
If you are interested please contact Rebecca Ford on 020 7918 4308.
Our current sponsors are Capital Radio and thelondonpaper.

A bit about busking on the Tube
Nearly 400 licensed buskers provide 3,000 of live music weekly. It is a smash hit for both customers and buskers.
Talented performers have met the Queen, performed for other European royalty and worked with established musicians, ranging from Simply Red to principals of the English National Opera.

They have attracted international media interest and are regularly booked for events and recording sessions. In 2005 buskers also supported the Make Poverty History campaign by taking part in Busk8, a concert which coincided with the global Live8 event.
The Libertines, Julian Lloyd-Webber and Badly Drawn Boy have all played pitches for the cameras.
