Transport for London

King's Cross gyratory

We are reviewing the road network in the Kings Cross area to make it safer for all road users, especially pedestrians and cyclists.

Feasibility study

Work has started on a feasibility study in partnership with Camden and Islington boroughs.

We have appointed a consultant to undertake this study which will focus on the following roads:

Community feedback

Focus groups have been held with representatives from cycling and pedestrian groups as well as local resident and business groups.

The purpose of these sessions was to identify what people who live, work and travel in the area thought would be best ways to improve local roads.

TfL also met with Ward Councillors to seek their views. We are now looking through all the comments received and aim to set out the objectives of the study in early 2013.

Next steps

The study objectives will be used to help develop a number of outline design options.

We aim to have a further discussion about these design options with Ward Councilors and the same representative groups in 2013.

Following these discussions, we will further develop our options and consult the wider public in Summer 2013.

Have your say

Local residents and the public will be consulted a preferred option has been identified.

Please email us your comments or suggestions.
