A406 Bounds Green

We are developing a scheme to improve the A406 North Circular Road between Bounds Green Road and Green Lanes, bringing real benefits to local residents and road users.

By creating a mainly two-lane dual carriageway, with improved facilities for pedestrians and cyclists, the scheme will bring safety and environmental benefits to the area.

The works fall within the London boroughs of Enfield and Haringey. Both councils have granted planning permission for the scheme.

Essential works to divert utility pipes and upgrade gas mains will begin in January 2009. The main construction works will begin in spring 2010.
