East London Transit

east london transit The East London Transit (ELT), together with the Greenwich Waterfront Transit (GWT), is part of the Thames Gateway Transit Programme. It will improve transport links to support major development proposals in south and east London.

The first phase of the ELT is scheduled to be in service by the end of 2009. It will include:

Beyond completion of the first phase, no further phases will be funded under TfL's Business Plan 2009/10 - 2017/18.

Working with local boroughs, we will undertake a wider review to asses the potential for further transit routes, and opportunities for further funding.
