We set the specifications for train frequency, station facilities and overall performance, and are responsible for fares and revenue. We also plan and fund improvements and extensions to the network.
In June 2007, London Overground Rail Operations Ltd. (LOROL) was appointed by us to manage the network's stations and trains on a day-to-day basis. The existing contract ends on 16 November 2016.
Network Rail manages and maintains the track and signals.
London Overground is part of the National Rail network.
