Today, our buses are environmentally friendly and easy to use. The trial of fuel cell buses on some routes means less noise and fewer emissions. Low-floor vehicles, retractable ramps and designated spaces for wheelchairs and pushchairs means improved accessibility for more people.
Oyster cards and pre-paid ticketing have made boarding faster and more efficient, while effective bus lane enforcement, the introduction of Congestion Charging and the fact there are now more buses on the road means bus services are more reliable than ever.
