Each of the projects below has been developed in partnership with local authorities, agencies and others committed to sustainable regeneration.
Near-term
- Woolwich Arsenal extension - due to open in February 2009, the extension will improve community transport, access to employment and education opportunities, as well as providing new jobs, homes, shops and leisure facilities
Medium-term
- Three carriage trains - Bank / Tower Gateway to Lewisham trains will have an extra carriage from 2010, with the rest of the network getting extra carriages shortly after
- Stratford International extension - running from Canning Town to Stratford International and due to open in July 2010, the project will bring more frequent and reliable services than the previous North London line as well as a direct link to the Olympics
