New phone number for Oyster helpline
The Oyster helpline can now be contacted on 0343 222 1234 for information on fares, refunds or complaint procedures - this replaces the old 0845 number.
The change is one of a number of improvements to the way customers can manage their travel.
Oyster online accounts, similar to online bank accounts, now mean customers can request statements of their journey history by email.
It is also easier to view journey and fares history, monitor pay as you go balances, see when season tickets expire, and get a no-quibble refund if charged for an incomplete journey.
These services mean less time spent on the phone and a more convenient way for people to sort out any issues at a time that's best for them.
Shashi Verma, Transport for London's Director of Customer Experience, said: 'Our online services are enabling customers to avoid the hassle of having to call us, especially for things like arranging refunds.
'But it is only right that customers with complex queries or complaints can contact us by telephone and at low or even no cost to them.'
The Oyster helpline is open from 8:00 to 20:00.
