Transport for LondonFree cycle stands from TfL
The stands come in three designs:
- The Sheffield Stand, where the bike frame and wheel are simply secured to the stand. This is a low maintenance and easy to use parking stand
- The Toast Rack is a single unit and can be bolted down to provide parking for a number of bikes. The stands are fully welded to the rails and can be moved around on site
- The Vertical Bike Holder is fixed to a wall and is ideal for offices where space is restricted. Bicycles are lifted into place and the front wheel secured by the holder
Up to 20 free stands, or space for 40 bikes, are being offered to any London-based business or organisation with five employees or more. Employers are responsible for installing the stands, ongoing liability and obtaining planning consent, if required.
