It's showtime for new Lord Mayor of London
A three-mile-long parade begins at Mansion House at 11am to welcome into office the Lord Mayor of London Elect - David Wootton.
The route takes in the historic streets of the Square Mile, via St Paul's Cathedral where the Lord Mayor will receive a blessing at 12.10pm, and will arrive at 12.30pm at the Royal Courts of Justice.
The return procession starts at 1pm and will arrive at Mansion House at around 2.30pm.
Communities from across the capital will take part in the celebrations.
In addition, youth groups and schools will join the Royal British Legion and St. Bart's Hospital in the 11am parade headed by the Lord Mayor's 253-year-old, gold state coach.
The roads around central London will be closed and spectators are advised to use public transport.
After the show, an hour-long fireworks display to mark the start of the 684th Mayor's year in office will begin at 5pm.
Recommended vantage points for the fireworks are Victoria Embankment, Blackfriars Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, or anywhere on the South Bank between the National Theatre and the Tate Modern.
The incoming Lord Mayor, David Wootton, took part in a dawn rehearsal yesterday.
