Oxford Street closed westbound until 05:00 20 November

Buses on diversion while utility works undertaken ahead of Tottenham Court Road station modernisation - Tube services unaffected.

Oxford Street will be closed westbound between Charing Cross Road and Berwick Street until 05:00 on 20 November 2007, due to gas mains works.

The works are being undertaken in preparation for modernisation and improvement works at Tottenham Court Road station.

The eastbound lane will remain open to traffic throughout.

Diversions for westbound traffic will be clearly sign posted, and a number of local bus routes will be affected - details below.

London Underground services are unaffected.
 
During the day:
Routes 7, 8, 10, 25, 55, 73, 98, 176 and 390 will be affected.
 
During the evening:
Routes N7, N8, N10, 25, N55, N73, N98, 176 and 390 will be affected.
 
These routes could be subject to delays as a result of the diversion.

Bus passengers are advised to leave extra time for their journeys and use alternative routes where possible.
