Olympic bid fireworks celebration

08 November 2004

The five Olympic boroughs - Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Newham, Greenwhich and Waltham - are coming together to make their pledges in support of London's 2012 Olympic bid.

It will be a firework and performance spectacular to light up a November night. Last year, ten thousand people enjoyed the sights and sounds. This year even more are expected.

It starts with a lantern and carnival parade from Mile End Green Bridge to Victoria Park. It will finish with a firework display like never before.

Use our Journey Planner to work out a bus route there and back. Nearest Tube station is Mile End.
