Transport for London

Early closure of Boston Manor station

07 April 2005

Piccadilly line trains will not stop at Boston Manor Station from 22.00 hours from 10 April to 19 May 2005 due to improvement works as part of Transport for London's 5-year £10 billion Investment Programme. Boston Manor will remain open until normal closing time on Saturday nights.

A rail replacement bus service will operate to and from Northfields at 10-minute intervals between 22:00 until close of service on affected days. Passengers should allow up to an extra 25 minutes to journey times.

Refurbishment works will include a complete renewal and upgrading of all station facilities including new station information and signage, repairs to the roof and brickwork, the replacement of floor tiles and the refurbishment of public toilets, windows and glazing. The work to be undertaken by Tube Lines is scheduled to be completed by September 2005.

Boston Manor customers will also benefit from a new PA system throughout the station. For increased passenger security the station will be equipped with new CCTV cameras with a full digital recording facility. Help Points equipped with audio and visual recording will be installed on each platform providing passengers with a direct communication link to the Station Supervisor and British Transport Police.
