Transport for LondonAnnual taxi fare increases come into effect
New taxi fares come into effect this Saturday, 2nd April. The annual increase of 3.3% takes into account operating costs and average national earnings and is effective across all three tariffs.
In addition, an environmental levy of 20p per journey is being introduced so that taxi drivers can invest in equipment that will allow them to comply with the Mayor's taxi emissions strategy.
