Tube platform announcements telling customers how the service is running will, from April 3, be consistent across the Underground network.


This consistency will provide customers with accurate and clear information about the service if it's disrupted so they will be able to make informed decision on how to continue their journey.

This information will also be displayed on the service update boards in the ticket halls.

Improving customer information

Customer message What this means…
Good Service No noticeable impact on your journey
Minor Delays Noticeably longer journey time however, stay with your planned route
Severe Delays Significantly longer journey time - consider using another route
Suspended / Part Suspended Your planned route is unavailable - please use another route or mode of transport - ask staff about your options
