Ealing Common enhanced refurbishment reaches final phase

20 May 2005

London Underground's Ealing Common station is undergoing an enhanced refurbishment.

When the work, which is being undertaken by Tube Lines, is complete, the station's 53,000 weekly customers will benefit from a much more attractive and convenient station.

Improvements include an improved public address system and CCTV, new customer information screens, better lighting and complete redecoration of the station.

So that work can be undertaken safely it will be necessary for the station to close at 2200 from Sunday to Friday for four weeks from Sunday 22 May to Friday 17 June.

On Saturday evenings, the station will remain open as normal until 0125.

From Sunday to Friday throughout this phase of the refurbishment, late evening trains will be replaced by special buses.

The service will run between Acton Town and Ealing Common.
