Work starts on DLR Woolwich Arsenal Extension

The Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone, and Transport Minister Karen Buck will start a large earth moving machine to mark the beginning of work on the DLR Woolwich Arsenal Extension.

They will be joined by Minister for London Jim Fitzpatrick, Nick Raynsford, MP (Greenwich and Woolwich), DLR Chairman Ian Brown.

The Band of the Royal Artillery will play.

This will be followed by a reception at the Firepower Museum at the Royal Arsenal.

Guests will be accompanied by the Town Crier out of General Gordon Place through the Woolwich market, to the Museum.
