Modernisation works to improve Maida Vale station

Maida Vale station on the Bakerloo line will be modernised and improved as part of TfL's £10bn 5-Year Investment programme.

Improvement works will include restoration of heritage features

Works are due to start in September 2005 and be completed in April 2007.

Metronet Rail BCV, the company responsible for the maintenance and renewal of the Bakerloo, Central, Victoria and Waterloo & City lines, will undertake the works.

The modernisation works should see disruptions to passengers' journeys kept to a minimum, as the station will remain open except during the following weekends: February 11-12, March 18-19 and April 22-23 2006.
